Mumbai, June 26: Several parts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) are expected to experience scheduled power interruptions on Friday, June 26, as electricity distribution companies undertake planned maintenance and infrastructure-related works. The temporary shutdowns are aimed at ensuring safe operations and improving the reliability of the power distribution network.

According to the latest maintenance schedule, areas served by Tata Power and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will witness electricity disruptions at different times during the day. Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance, especially those working from home, operating businesses, or depending on uninterrupted electricity for essential services.
Tata Power Areas to Face Power Cut
Under Tata Power, a scheduled maintenance shutdown has been announced in parts of the Moti Nagar Division.
Power supply is expected to remain suspended from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm in the following areas:
- Parts of 70B Rama Road
- Moti Nagar
- Residential pockets surrounding Moti Nagar
- Nearby localities connected to the maintenance corridor
The shutdown has been planned to facilitate maintenance work on the local electricity distribution network.
MSEDCL Shutdown in Thane Rural, Diva and Kalwa
Consumers under MSEDCL in parts of the Thane Rural, Diva and Kalwa regions are also likely to experience power interruptions during the day.
According to the maintenance schedule, the listed locations include:
- Thane Rural
- Diva
- Kalwa
- Surrounding areas connected to the respective feeders
The schedule indicates maintenance activities extending through the day in these service zones.
Residents are advised to check with local MSEDCL offices or customer service channels for feeder-specific restoration timings, as the duration may vary depending on the progress of maintenance work.
Residents Advised to Plan Ahead
With scheduled outages affecting multiple localities, residents are encouraged to charge essential electronic devices, ensure backup power arrangements where possible, and plan activities that require uninterrupted electricity accordingly.
Power utilities generally restore supply immediately after maintenance work is completed. However, restoration may take slightly longer in certain locations depending on technical inspections and operational requirements.
