A new chapter in India's high-speed rail journey is taking shape in Dungra village along the Vapi-Silvassa road. The upcoming Vapi Bullet Train station, part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor, is quickly moving towards completion. This modern station is not just a stop on the route-it's a symbol of India's future in fast and efficient travel.
The station is being built to reflect the theme of speed, with a sleek outer design and stylish, modern interiors. It covers a large area of 28,917 square metres and stands tall at about 22 metres. Once ready, the station promises a smooth and premium travel experience for all passengers.
Easy access to major routes
The Vapi station has been planned in a way that makes it easily reachable from nearby transport points and industrial areas. It is only 7 km from Vapi Railway Junction, 7.5 km from Vapi Bus Stop, and 5 km from the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC). This will help both daily commuters and industrial workers travel more easily and quickly.
Fast progress in construction
According to officials, the station's construction is progressing well. Important civil work like building the platform and rail slabs and putting up steel structures has already been completed. Workers are now focusing on roof sheeting and installing electrical systems. The viaduct connecting to Ahmedabad is already done, and construction work towards Mumbai is also moving forward.
The bigger Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is also moving fast. So far, engineers have built 304 km of viaduct and 388 km of piers. They have also completed 14 river bridges, seven steel bridges, and five prestressed concrete bridges. Additionally, 163 km of track bed construction is finished.

To make travel more comfortable, the Vapi station will have several modern facilities. These include a business class lounge, nursery, elevators, and escalators. These features will make travel easier and more relaxing, especially for families and business travelers.
