As November arrives, the streets of Shillong transform with the enchanting sight of freshly bloomed pink cherry trees. On Monday, Meghalaya's Tourism Minister, Paul Lyngdoh, announced that this year's Cherry Blossom Festival will take place from November 17 to 19. The festival boasts an impressive array of artists, with Ronan Keating, Jonas Blue, Hybrid Theory, and Kenny Music gracing the lineup.
Notable artists and bands such as Lou Majaw, Snow White, Meba Ofilia, and others are also part of this exciting festival.
The Optimal Time to Experience Cherry Blossoms
Since the inaugural Cherry Blossom Festival in 2016, Shillong has established itself as a must-visit destination to witness the landscape adorned with cherry blossoms. This event was graced by the Japanese Ambassador to India, Kenji Hiramatsu, and inaugurated by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma. Typically, November is the ideal month for visiting Shillong to witness the breathtaking cherry blossoms.
