The dream of building a world-class film city in Uttar Pradesh is moving closer to reality. On Monday, film producer Boney Kapoor visited Greater Noida to meet local officials and talk about the new film city project. This project will be built in Sector 21, along the Yamuna Expressway. It is a joint effort by Kapoor's company Bayview Projects LLP and the Bhutani Group.

A Big Step for the Entertainment Industry
The upcoming Noida Film City is part of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision to make Uttar Pradesh a hub for the film industry. The film city will cover 155 acres of land. It will offer everything needed for film-making, from studios and outdoor sets to educational facilities. A part of the land, around 21 acres, will be used to build an institute where students can study and get training in filmmaking. This will help new talent learn and grow in the field of movies and television.
Top Leaders May Attend Foundation Ceremony
There are chances that the foundation stone for this project will be laid by both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This would show how important the project is for the country and how much support the government is giving to the creative field.
First Phase to Include 14 Sound Stages
Boney Kapoor shared details about the first phase of the construction. He said it will include 14 sound stages for shooting, along with production studios and the film institute. There will also be a studio with a permanent water tank, which is useful for scenes needing water effects.
Kapoor said that a virtual studio with a large LED screen will also be built. "These screens can be 80 by 20 feet or even bigger," he said. This will help filmmakers create computer-generated scenes. The film city will have studios of different sizes, some for films, some for TV shows. There will also be places with permanent sets and a big open ground for outdoor shooting.
Work Progressing Fast
Kapoor confirmed that the groundbreaking ceremony will take place before June 30. The company has almost finished the geo-technical survey of the land. The next step is to submit the building plan for approval.
This film city will not only boost the local economy but also create many jobs. It will make Uttar Pradesh an important place for the film and entertainment industry in India.
