For the first time in its history, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is set to host an extraordinary drone show at the Mahakumbh 2025, aiming to dazzle attendees with a stunning display of lights in the skies above the Sangam Nose area. This innovative addition promises to enhance the spiritual and cultural atmosphere of the event, offering a visual spectacle never before seen at the Mahakumbh. The show is designed to be a highlight during the opening and closing ceremonies, providing a memorable experience for both pilgrims and locals.

Set against the backdrop of the Sangam Nose, approximately 2,000 drones will light up the evening sky, artistically narrating the sacred stories of "Prayag Mahatmyam" and the grandeur of Mahakumbh. According to District Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh, these drones will recreate significant mythological events such as the legendary Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean) and the appearance of the Amrit Kalash (nectar pot). "A fleet of around 2,000 illuminated drones will bring to life the legendary tales of 'Prayag Mahatmyam' and the Mahakumbh. The spectacular show will depict iconic events like the mythical Samudra Manthan (ocean churning) and the emergence of the Amrit Kalash (nectar pot), creating a magical visual narrative in the evening skies," Singh elaborated.
