The Indian festival of lights, also known as Deepotsav, holds a special place in the hearts of millions of people across the world. Every year, Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, is lit up with numerous lamps to mark the auspicious occasion. For those unable to physically partake in the celebrations, the tourism department has come up with an innovative solution. RP Yadav, the deputy director of the department, recently introduced a new initiative allowing devotees to virtually light lamps at sacred religious places in Ayodhya. This article will highlight the details of this unique initiative.

The E-Deepotsav Initiative
According to RP Yadav, the purpose of the E-Deepotsav initiative is to make people feel connected to the sacred event. By booking a package, individuals can light a virtual lamp at Ram Ki Paidi, Saryu Ghats, Mutts, Temples, and other religious places in Ayodhya. The initiative offers various packages, allowing participants to purchase and light e-lamps at these places.

How to Participate
Getting involved in the E-Deepotsav initiative is simple. Devotees can purchase a single lamp for Rs 51 or choose from packages offering 11 lamps for Rs 101, 21 lamps for Rs 501, or 51 lamps for Rs 1,100. As a token of appreciation, participants will receive gifts such as lamps, cardamom seeds or laddu prasad, a model of the Ram temple, and souvenirs of Ramnami Gama, Ram Darwar, etc. These gifts will be sent via courier based on the package selected by the participant.

Connecting with E-Deepotsav
To partake in E-Deepotsav, interested individuals can visit the 'Holi Ayodhya Portal' at https://holyayodhya.com. The platform provides a virtual experience aiming to connect devotees of Lord Rama from India and abroad with the joyous celebrations of Deepotsav in Ayodhya.
In conclusion, the E-Deepotsav initiative provides a unique opportunity for devotees worldwide to connect with the joyous celebrations of Deepotsav in Ayodhya. Regardless of geographical barriers, the initiative ensures that everyone can participate in the festival and experience the divine ambiance of Ayodhya during Deepotsav. It is indeed a remarkable step by the tourism department towards digitalizing religious experiences and preserving the rich cultural heritage of India.
