KSRTC Introduces Sleeper Bus from Bengaluru to Kozhikode Starting Dec 6: Check Timings, Stops, and Fares

Starting December 6, travelers between Bengaluru and Kozhikode will have a new, comfortable option for their journey. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is introducing a non-AC sleeper bus service on this route, with an additional stop at Mananthavady. This marks the first time KSRTC is offering such a service for travelers along this route, providing a cost-effective and convenient travel experience.

KSRTC s new Sleeper Bus from Bengaluru

Designed for Comfort and Convenience

The new sleeper bus service is expected to enhance the travel experience for both tourists and locals. With its non-AC sleeper arrangement, the bus provides a unique alternative to regular seating options, offering a more relaxing journey. The addition of stops along the route also allows travelers to explore prominent locations briefly, making the journey more engaging.

Ideal for Holiday Travel

The launch of this service coincides with the festive Christmas season, providing an excellent travel option for those planning trips during the holidays. Whether for sightseeing or visiting family, the non-AC sleeper bus offers an affordable and comfortable way to travel between Bengaluru and Kozhikode.

Timings and Stops

The bus will depart from Bengaluru's Shantinagar Bus Stand at 8:45 pm and reach Kozhikode Bus Stand by 5:45 am the next day. Along the way, the service will make planned stops at Mysuru Road Satellite Stand, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Kengeri TTMC, Mananthavady (3:15 am), and Kalpetta (4:00 am). These stops are designed for passenger convenience and to connect travelers to key locations and tourist spots.

For the return journey, the bus will leave Kozhikode at 9:15 pm, arriving in Bengaluru by 5:25 am. This well-timed service ensures travelers can enjoy a seamless journey in both directions.

The ticket price is set at ₹950, with a slight increase on weekends. Bookings are already open online, allowing passengers to secure their seats in advance.

This new service is part of KSRTC's larger efforts to improve inter-city transport. Recently, the corporation announced plans to introduce non-AC sleeper buses to other destinations, including Kottayam. Additionally, KSRTC is upgrading its fleet with luxury vehicles. Last month, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated 20 new Airavat Club Class 2.0 Volvo multi-axle buses. These buses feature a spacious 2x2 seating arrangement and enhanced comfort for passengers.
