The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced additional interstate bus services to manage the expected increase in passenger demand during the Mahanavami, Vijayadashami, and Diwali festive period, which will connect several destinations in Kerala with Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Chennai, along with return services to Kerala.
Kerala Special Buses for Festive Season
According to KSRTC, the additional services will operate from October 14 to November 14, 2026. From Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai, buses will operate to several destinations across Kerala, including Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, Nilambur, Ponnani, Ernakulam, Changanassery, Pala, Alappuzha, Kollam, Punalur, Kottarakkara, Cherthala, Haripad, Kottayam, Adoor, Kannur, Payyannur and Kanhangad.
The special services will also include Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram routes. A multi-axle AC service will operate between Chennai and Ernakulam. Other services include Mysuru-Kannur and Mysuru-Madurai.
Additional buses will also run from different Kerala bus stations towards Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai during the same period. These include services from Kozhikode, Nilambur, Ponnani, Malappuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Changanassery, Alappuzha, Kollam, Punalur, Kottarakkara, Cherthala, Haripad, Kottayam, Adoor, Kannur, Payyannur and Kanhangad to Bengaluru. Pala-Mysuru and Kannur-Mysuru services will also be available.
For Chennai, KSRTC will operate services from Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam, with the Ernakulam-Chennai service being a multi-axle AC bus. Some of the additional services will operate on alternate days. KSRTC has also arranged additional services based on passenger demand and rush during the festive season.

Passengers can reserve seats online through the KSRTC website, the Ente KSRTC Neo OPRS mobile application, and KSRTC WhatsApp ticketing at 9447071021. Tickets can also be booked through KSRTC reservation counters. The corporation has advised passengers to book in advance to avoid the festive-season rush.
