The whole nation knows and every Indian has witnessed this at least once in their lifetime that whenever there is a festival in India like Holi, Diwali, Onam, Bihu, Navratri, Eid, etc there is too much rush in Indian railways, and to get a confirmed ticket is challenging.
But you should not worry about your rail tickets this Holi because Indian Railways is here as our savior and to provide us ease while traveling as always. As a result of the anticipated large volume of passengers during the festival days, the Indian Railways has planned to operate 90 Holi special trains.
Six Holi specials trains will run between Mumbai & Surathkal, 34 between Dadar and Ballia/Gorakhpur, and 10 between Nagpur and Madgaon have already been declared by the Central Railway.
In order to accommodate the increasing passenger demand, the Central Railway has also planned to run an additional 34 Holi special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Samastipur/Madgaon, Pune-Danapur/Ajni/Karmali, and Panvel-Karmali.

East Central Railway has announced six Holi specials between Mumbai & Jaynagar, bringing the total number of Holi specials declared this year to 90 wherein Central Railway has announced 84, and East Central Railway has announced 6.

Some of the routes:
Many trains are running on the occasion of Holi including trains from Mumbai's railway station, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal to Jaynagar from March 13 to March 27, 2023, Every Monday at 1:30 pm, the train with the number 05562 leaves Mumbai and arrives on Jayanagar at 8 am. Similar to the return train having train number 05561 will leave Jaynagar every Saturday at 11:50 pm and arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal at 1 pm the following day.

More special trains like the one running between Gorakhpur and Amritsar is also there. The Gorakhpur-Amritsar special train, number 05005, will leave Gorakhpur at 2:40 PM on March 3 and will arrive in Amritsar at 9:30 AM on March 10 and 17. On the other side, on March 4, 11, and 18, 2023, train number 05006 Amritsar-Gorakhpur special will depart from Amritsar at 12:45 pm and arrive in Gorakhpur at 8:50 am.
Another one is the nation's capital Delhi to Bihar. This special train will start its journey from Delhi on 8th March, 2023, and it will reach its destination Bihar on 10th March, Friday 2023. During its return the train will depart from Bihar on 12th March, Sunday 2023, and will reach Delhi on 14th March, Tuesday. These peculiar trains will run between Patna, Gaya, and Muzaffarpur, three of Bihar's largest cities.
