In an important step towards simplifying the ticket booking process, Indian Railways has increased the IRCTC online ticket limit to 24. To avail of this facility, you have to link your IRCTC user id with your Aadhaar card.
The IRCTC Aadhaar Linking facility can be availed by anyone who has registered for Aadhaar and already linked it with their bank accounts or mobile numbers. It will work for both existing and new users. The new feature will also help users who are looking to book a large number of tickets at once, such as those who are traveling in groups or have family members traveling together.
This is a big move for IRCTC, which is India's largest online train ticket booking portal. The company is looking to increase its market share and make train travel more accessible to everyone.
To avail of this service, you need to link your Aadhaar card number with your IRCTC account by following these steps:
1) The user needs to log on to the official website of Indian Railways and click on the "Aadhaar Linking" option on the left-hand side menu bar.
2) After that, they need to enter their 12-digit Aadhaar number, name as shown on the Aadhaar card, and date of birth.
3) Once all details are entered correctly, click on submit button and enter OTP received on the mobile number registered with the Aadhaar account.
4) Then you will be redirected to another page where you have to press the "Link Now" option and your account will be linked successfully after entering OTP received on the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar account.
