The venture has inked a deal with US-based Archer Aviation to supply 200 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in India. Archer Aviation plans to invest a staggering 1 billion dollars in this segment. These cutting-edge aircraft will be powered by a battery setup, enabling quick charging within a span of 30-40 minutes.
Adam Goldstein, the Founder and CEO of Archer Aviation, confirmed the details, revealing that the company is currently engaged in discussions with the US regulator Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The certification process for the aircraft is reported to be in an advanced stage.
