A Glimpse into the Future: Hydrogen Fuel Cells

The IOC is set to produce a substantial 75 kilograms of hydrogen daily. This hydrogen will fuel two buses that will embark on trial runs across the national capital region.
Each of these innovative buses is equipped with four cylinders, each boasting a 30-kilogram capacity. With this, they can travel an impressive 350 kilometers on a single fill. Filling the tanks is a swift process, taking just 10-12 minutes to complete.

Additionally, they will initiate operational trials of 15 fuel cell buses, all powered by green hydrogen. These trials will take place on selected routes in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The ultimate goal? To reduce carbon emissions, making Indian Railways a cleaner and greener mode of transport.
