Indian Railways is widely known as the most convenient, affordable, and comfortable mode of transport for Indians. One of the most popular trains is the Vande Bharat Express, a fast chair car introduced a few years ago. In a recent update, Indian Railways is launching two new Vande Bharat Express trains from Patna, connecting the city to Lucknow via Ayodhya and Siligudi.
The first train will travel from Patna to Lucknow, passing through the historic city of Ayodhya. The second train will run from Patna to Siligudi. While the timetable for the Patna to Lucknow route is still being decided, the schedule for the Patna-Siligudi Vande Bharat Express is already set.
Although the official launch date is yet to be announced, both Vande Bharat Express trains are expected to start operating next week.
Patna-Siligudi Vande Bharat Express Schedule:
- Departure from Siligudi: 6:00 AM
- Stops at Kishanganj (7:00 AM) and Katihar (8:30 AM)
- Arrival at Patna: 1:00 PM
Return journey:
- Departure from Patna Junction: 3:00 PM
- Stops at Katihar (7:30 PM), Kishanganj (8:49 PM), and New Jalpaigudi (10:00 PM)
- Maintenance at New Jalpaigudi Station
- No travel on Tuesdays
This efficient train will cover the 471-kilometer distance in just seven hours, ensuring a swift and comfortable journey for passengers. The route includes key stations such as Patna, Aara, Buxar, DDU, Ayodhya, and Lucknow. The train is scheduled to depart from Patna around 6:00 AM, reaching Lucknow by approximately 10:30 PM.
The trial run and necessary checks for this train began on Sunday, marking an essential step toward its official operation. The maintenance hub for the Patna-Siligudi Vande Bharat Express will be the New Jalpaigudi Station.
