Indian Railways has launched 'Aastha Special Trains' to help devotees travel to Ayodhya for spiritual reasons after the recent consecration of the Ram Temple. This initiative brings together people from different parts of the country on a journey of faith.
On Tuesday, Gujarat celebrated the departure of its first Aastha special train to Ayodhya. Mukesh Patel, the MoS for Forest and Environment in Gujarat, flagged off the train from Mehsana railway station. This marked a significant moment as the first special train from Gujarat set out for Ayodhya. Local leaders mentioned that more such trains are planned from different parts of the state.

Approximately 1,344 devotees from seven assembly constituencies under the Mehsana Lok Sabha seat boarded the special train. Patel assured that arrangements were in place to ensure their smooth visit to the revered temple.
"The special train, carrying Ram devotees, many of whom were kar sevaks (religious volunteers) during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, left from Mehsana railway station. This was the first of the 26 Aastha special trains to leave from Gujarat, each covering a Lok Sabha seat in the state," mentioned BJP leader MS Patel.
In the national capital, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva flagged off a special train heading to Ayodhya from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station on Monday, February 5. The event brought together numerous workers from different Lok Sabha constituencies, adding to the joy of the occasion. BJP MP Harsh Vardhan expressed his happiness and shared plans to visit Ayodhya in a similar train.

Similarly, Odisha contributed to the spiritual fervor as around 1,400 devotees boarded the Aastha special train from the capital city of Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. Odisha's BJP president Manmohan Samal inaugurated the train, which carried groups of Sri Ram devotees from Puri and Jagatsinghpur Parliamentary constituencies.
"The first Aastha Special Train from Odisha has left the state with groups of Sri Ram devotees," mentioned Odisha's BJP president Manmohan Samal.
These Aastha Special Trains go beyond being a mode of transportation; they symbolize the unity of diverse regions in a shared spiritual journey to Ayodhya. As the trains travel across the nation, they weave a tapestry of devotion, connecting hearts and souls on a pilgrimage to the sacred land of Lord Ram. The initiative not only makes travel logistics easier but also fosters a sense of collective devotion, emphasizing the cultural richness that unites our nation.
