India-Vietnam Flights To Restart Operations From April 29

New air routes were launched between India and Vietnam on Wednesday, 20 April 2022. It was inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The Lok Sabha speaker is currently on a three-day tour of Southeast Asian countries. Birla and the chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Vuong Dinh Hue, restored direct air services that were closed due to the Corona epidemic. Along with this, new air routes were also started. This information has been given by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Before the start of the pandemic, Vietnam's airline VietJet was operating regular flights. These flights were between Hanoi and Ho Chin Minh City to New Delhi.

These services were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and are now being restarted. It has also been told by the Secretariat that these services have been restored only during Om Birla's visit to Vietnam. On Wednesday, Vietjet was told that it will now operate six flights between India and Vietnam which will be in phases. It starts on 29th April. It is said Delhi-Hanoi and Delhi Ho Chi Minh City would resume on April 29 and 30. The four routes that Om Birla inaugurated are Hanoi Mumbai, Ho Chi Minh City Mumbai and Phu Quoc to New Delhi and Mumbai. VietJet flights will operate their flights on these new routes.
