The nation's Capital, Delhi is making India proud. Delhi Airport has been recognized as one of the top airports in the Asia Pacific area by the Airports Council International. The international group also declared it the "cleanest airport" in the region.
Airports Council International (ACI) is a non-profit organization comprised of airport operators from around the world. Delhi International Airports Ltd, a partnership under GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd, operates Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
"Indira Gandhi International Airport" has been named the best airport for Airport Service Quality in the year 2022. This airport is among those that handle over Forty million passengers each year. The Airports Council International also ranked it as the cleanest airport in the Asia Pacific area.
The accomplishments for the year 2022 are undoubtedly huge and majestic. The Delhi airport has won the title as one of the best airports in the Asia Pacific region for the fifth year in a row. The Airports Council International named the airport "Best Airport" in the category of more than Forty million passengers per year.
Prior to 2022, Indira Gandhi International Airport was recognized as the best airport in the Asia Pacific region for over 40 million passengers per year in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
The joint venture Delhi International Airport Limited stated that the rankings are based on so many surveys. In airports, surveys are used to perform live research. Travelers using the airport can use these surveys to submit their experiences, feedback, & evaluations. These customer experiences are used to determine the awards.
In a press release, the Airports Authority of India revealed the names of other airports that have received recognition. They mentioned that Tiruchirappalli International Airport is regarded as the best airport in the Asia Pacific area. This Airports Council International award is for airports with fewer than 2 million passengers.
The survey examined more than 30 performance characteristics of a passenger's airport experience, such as ease of check-in, navigation, shopping & dining options, and so on.
According to reports, 75 airports earned roughly 144 awards internationally in 2022, depending on more than 465,000 research showed, with Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport won in the cleanest airport category, however, no other Indian airport reached the winners' list.
