According to the latest weather forecast, Hyderabad recorded a temperature of 29°C by late morning, with the feels-like temperature touching 33°C. The city is witnessing a 70% chance of precipitation, accompanied by winds of around 16 kmph, while humidity remains at 65%. Air quality continues to remain in the satisfactory category.

Rain and Thunderstorms Likely Through the Day

The IMD has predicted that the city will remain densely cloudy during the morning, with showers and thunderstorms likely during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures are expected to hover around 29°C to 30°C, with the maximum likely to touch 30°C and the minimum around 25°C.

Hourly forecasts indicate intermittent rainfall throughout the day, with thunderstorms possible during the afternoon before conditions gradually improve later in the evening.

Flash Flood Risk in Hyderabad

Google Weather has also highlighted a flash flood risk for Hyderabad as continuous monsoon activity may lead to water accumulation in vulnerable areas. The IMD has advised residents to remain cautious, particularly while travelling during periods of intense rainfall, as roads may become slippery and low-lying localities could experience temporary waterlogging.

Motorists have been urged to drive carefully and avoid flooded stretches wherever possible.

Heavy Rain Alert Across Telangana

The active southwest monsoon is expected to bring heavy rainfall across several districts of Telangana over the next three days.

According to weather forecasts, Mancherial, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem are likely to receive heavy rainfall on June 26 and 27.

Heavy rain is also expected over Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Gadwal on June 27 and 28.

Further, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam districts are likely to witness heavy rainfall on June 28 and 29, while lightning and gusty winds may accompany thunderstorms in several parts of the state.

Weather Outlook

The IMD's seven-day forecast suggests that Hyderabad will continue to experience generally cloudy skies with intermittent rain or thundershowers over the coming days. With monsoon activity expected to remain strong, residents are advised to keep an eye on official weather updates, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy downpours, and take necessary precautions in areas prone to flooding.
