According to the latest IMD forecast, maximum temperatures across the state are likely to rise by 2°C to 4°C during the coming four days. While a few districts may receive temporary relief through isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds, the broader weather pattern points towards increasing daytime heat across Telangana.

Hyderabad Weather Today

Hyderabad is expected to witness a maximum temperature of around 38°C to 39°C on Wednesday, while the minimum temperature is likely to remain near 26°C to 27°C.

Morning hours are expected to stay relatively warm before temperatures climb sharply by noon. Forecast data indicates temperatures may hover between 37°C and 38°C during the afternoon hours, making outdoor conditions uncomfortable, especially between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Evening weather is expected to remain warm, with temperatures gradually dropping to around 30°C to 33°C after sunset. Weather conditions are likely to remain mostly clear with periodic cloud cover. No major rainfall activity is currently expected in the city.

Wind speeds are likely to remain mild at around 6 kmph, while humidity levels may stay elevated during early morning and late evening hours.

Districts Likely to See Thunderstorm Activity

The IMD stated that isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph may affect a few Telangana districts on Wednesday.

Areas Likely to Receive Temporary Relief

  • Bhadradri Kothagudem
  • Khammam
  • Vikarabad
  • Sangareddy
  • Medak
  • Kamareddy

Despite these isolated weather activities, dry and hot conditions are expected to dominate most parts of the state through the week.

Low-Pressure System Over Bay of Bengal

Meteorologists have also noted the presence of a low-pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengal along with an associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 4.5 km above mean sea level.

According to the weather department, the system is expected to intensify further over the next 48 hours. A trough extending from the low-pressure region through north Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka is also influencing regional weather conditions.

However, the impact over Telangana is currently expected to be limited mainly to isolated cloud formation and brief thunderstorm activity in select districts.

Heatwave Advisory for Residents

With temperatures continuing to rise, residents have been advised to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours. People travelling outdoors are encouraged to stay hydrated, wear light clothing and avoid strenuous physical activity during the hottest part of the day.

Senior citizens, children and people with existing health conditions are expected to remain particularly vulnerable to heat-related illnesses as temperatures intensify across the state.
