In a game-changing initiative, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is set to redefine the cityscape by introducing a groundbreaking "sports arena" beneath a buzzing flyover. This transformative project, situated opposite Nexus Mall in KPHB Colony of Moosapet Circle, draws inspiration from successful models in Mumbai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Indore, and other cities.
The innovative plan aims to reclaim valuable space under flyovers, providing a haven for sports enthusiasts in areas where traditional playgrounds are in short supply.
GHMC has earmarked a commendable ₹50 lakh for the development of this unique sports arena beneath the flyover. The construction will be undertaken by a private agency, ensuring efficiency and timely completion, with an added two-year defect liability period.
The envisioned sports arena is poised to become a dynamic hub for diverse activities, catering to a wide range of interests. It will boast facilities such as a tennis table, badminton court, skating rink, a designated space for cricket, basketball pole with hoop, rock climbing area, along with a cozy cafe and comfortable seating zones. Adding an artistic touch, the space will feature vibrant paintings on the ceiling and columns, creating an inviting atmosphere.
