Why Is There a Power Cut Today?

The temporary power interruptions have been scheduled to facilitate routine maintenance and improvement works on the electricity distribution network. Such maintenance helps improve the reliability of power supply, ensures safe operation of electrical infrastructure and reduces the chances of unplanned outages in the future.

Advisory for Residents

Consumers living in the affected areas are advised to charge mobile phones, laptops, power banks and other essential electronic devices before the scheduled shutdown. Those working from home or running businesses that depend on uninterrupted electricity should make alternate arrangements. While power supply is expected to be restored after the maintenance work is completed, restoration timings may vary slightly depending on the progress of the work.

Residents can also stay updated through their local electricity distribution office for any changes to the announced schedule.
