Hindon Airport Gets New Air India Express Flights to Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa & More

Air India Express is bringing better air connectivity to the National Capital Region (NCR) by launching 40 weekly flights from Hindon Airport. This major step will improve travel options to Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Jammu, and Kolkata. The expansion aims to meet the increasing demand for air travel in the region. The launch was marked by a special ceremony attended by Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Rammohan Naidu, highlighting the importance of this initiative in India's growing aviation sector.

Air India Flights from Hindon Airport

Better Connectivity for NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh

With these new flights, Air India Express has become the first airline to operate from both Indira Gandhi International Airport and Hindon Airport in NCR. This move will make travel easier for people in North and East Delhi, as well as in Western Uttar Pradesh. Areas like Ghaziabad, Meerut, Noida, and even localities such as Akshardham and Karol Bagh will now have improved access to major cities across the country.

New Daily Flight from Hindon to Jammu

Starting from 23rd March 2025, Air India Express will launch a new daily service (except Saturdays) between Hindon Airport and Jammu. This flight will depart from Hindon at 11:30 AM and return from Jammu at 1:00 PM. This service is expected to benefit travelers, especially those commuting between Jammu and the southern parts of NCR, including Noida. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted the importance of this service, mentioning that it will provide a convenient and affordable travel option for passengers.

Flights Between Jammu and Srinagar from April 2025

Air India Express is also introducing a new flight from Jammu to Srinagar, which will begin on 1st April 2025. This morning flight will allow passengers to make quick round trips between these cities, making travel to Srinagar more accessible for both residents and tourists.

Government's Vision for Aviation Growth

The launch of these new flights from Hindon aligns with the government's plan to improve aviation infrastructure in India. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu emphasized that this expansion supports the operations of Indira Gandhi International Airport and will help manage the growing demand for air travel.

Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, compared the development to international cities like London, New York, and Tokyo, where multiple airports serve different types of travelers. He also stated that Air India Express now serves 18 domestic and 4 international destinations from IGI Airport.

Air India Express, a subsidiary of the Tata Group, currently operates over 400 flights daily, covering 39 domestic and 16 international destinations. The airline has a strong fleet of 63 Boeing 737s and 36 Airbus A320s, helping it expand its services across India and key locations in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

With 40 new weekly flights from Hindon Airport, Air India Express is making air travel more convenient for people in NCR and nearby areas. This move will not only make travel easier but also support the government's vision for a stronger aviation network in India. Passengers can now look forward to better connectivity and a smoother travel experience.
