Vadnagar, a city with a rich history of over 2,500 years and the birthplace of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is set to open its newest cultural landmark-the Archaeological Experience Museum. This museum offers visitors an engaging and interactive journey through the city's history and will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The museum stands as a tribute to Vadnagar's layered heritage, featuring thousands of artifacts discovered through years of excavation.

A Glimpse into History
Built at a cost of ₹298 crore, the four-storey museum spans 12,500 square meters. It showcases over 5,000 artifacts, including ancient coins, weapons, sculptures, ornaments, food grains, skeletal remains, shells, and ceramics. These discoveries provide a window into Vadnagar's rich cultural narrative, showcasing its significance through various historical periods.
Nine thematic galleries bring Vadnagar's art, sculpture, and languages to life. Visitors can explore these exhibits through a mix of physical displays and digital platforms, making it a perfect destination for history enthusiasts and students. One standout feature is a bridge connecting the museum to a live excavation site. This allows visitors to observe ongoing archaeological activities and see history being uncovered right before their eyes.
A City of Multicultural Heritage
Vadnagar, located in Gujarat's Mehsana district, has a unique blend of cultural influences from Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, and Islamic traditions. Beyond the Museum
In addition to the Archaeological Experience Museum, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also inaugurate a new sports complex in Vadnagar. This modern facility includes courts for badminton, basketball, and table tennis, as well as spaces for judo and other sports. It features a multi-purpose indoor hall and a 200-bed hostel for boys and girls, designed to support local athletes.
A Special Inauguration
