Recognizing the significance of seeking blessings before embarking on a new journey, the TTD is offering specially facilitated darshan for these newlyweds.
According to tradition, it is customary for couples to visit the Tirumala temple immediately after their wedding, attired in their wedding clothes. This ritual signifies the commencement of a new phase in their lives and the auspicious start of their journey together. The TTD has now streamlined this process by offering tickets for a special darshan to enhance the experience for the newly-married couples.
Couples who have entered the marital bond within the last week can apply for the Kalyanotsavam Seva at Tirumala. The TTD's official website allocates 20 tickets per day for these special darshans, priced at Rs 1000 each. These tickets remain valid for both marriage ceremonies and the exclusive darshan experience.
To avail of this opportunity, newlyweds are required to follow specific guidelines. They must visit the Arjitha Seva Lucky Dip counter in the CRO office, presenting their wedding pictures as proof. Additionally, the couple should have been married within the last week, and their Aadhaar cards must be submitted for identity verification. Once these steps are completed, the newlyweds can obtain the Kalyanotsavam ticket directly.
The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, often referred to as Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple, is one of the most revered Hindu temples globally, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, a manifestation of Vishnu. The temple, situated in the picturesque hill town of Tirumala, 22 km from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, boasts rich historical significance and architectural grandeur that spans centuries.
According to legend, Lord Venkateswara arrived in Tirumala to wed Goddess Padmavati, the daughter of King Akasa Raja.
