The first Vande Bharat Express train in Rajasthan, the country's fifteenth of its kind, was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conference. With stops in Jaipur, Alwar, & Gurugram, the newly introduced Vande Bharat Express will travel between Ajmer and Delhi Cantonment. On Thursday, April 13, this first Vande Bharat in Rajasthan began offering regular service.
Every month there are multiple Vande Bharat launches happening in India which is the biggest sign of country's transportation success and creating a milestone providing ease to lakhs of passengers throughout India where Vande Bharat Express has already launched. With an aim of launching 472 of these trains by 2025.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words on the occasion:
The Vande Bharat Express, the prime minister highlighted, represents growth, modernity, independence, and stability, enhancing the philosophy of "India First, Always First." He added that the train will have a significant positive impact on Rajasthan's tourism sector.
Modi emphasized that this was the 6th Vande Bharat Express successful launch in the last 2 months, avaricious and dishonest politics had impeded the modernization of the railways. He said that widespread corruption had impeded the development of the railways and had rendered the hiring process opaque.

Regrettably, political avarice and cruelty have always dominated railway modernization He said that widespread corruption hampered both the expansion of the railways & the openness of the employment process.
About Ajmer-Delhi Cantonment Vande Bharat Express:
It's impressive that it will travel from Delhi Cantonment to Ajmer in 5 hours and 15 minutes. This train will have 16 coaches, including two executive chair cars, two driving car class coaches, and 12 air-conditioned chair cars.
The railway would make it easier to reach many of Rajasthan's top tourist destinations, including Pushkar and the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, which are frequented by enormous crowds of people all year long. The socioeconomic development of the area will also benefit from improved connections.

The current quickest train on the same route, the Shatabdi Express, travels the distance in 6 hours and 15 minutes. The newest Vande Bharat Express will travel the same route 60 minutes faster than the current fastest train.

The Ajmer-Delhi Cantonment Vande Bharat Express is the 1st semi-high-speed passenger train in the world to operate on high-rise overhead electric (OHE) land, which is considered as the most noteworthy achievement.
Ajmer-Delhi Cantonment Vande Bharat Express Ticket price:
Ticket rates for the Vande Bharat Express, Train No. 20978 from Delhi Cantonment and Ajmer are INR 1250, which includes INR 308 for catering costs, and INR 2270 for Executive Class, which also includes INR 369 for catering costs.
The ticket price of the Vande Bharat Express, Train No. 20977, from Ajmer Junction to Delhi Cantonment is INR 1085 for a chair car including INR 142 for catering, and INR 2075 for an executive class, which also includes INR 175 for catering.
