Indian Railways Extends Four Special Trains with 10 Extra Trips to Ease Passenger Rush through January 2026

Indian Railways has announced the extension of several special train services to make travel easier for passengers. and days of operation will remain the same as earlier. The decision has been taken mainly to handle higher passenger demand and ensure smoother travel.

Extension of Special Trains

As per the latest notification, special trains running between Dhanbad, Chandigarh, and Delhi have been extended beyond their earlier announced end dates. Each of these services will now operate for 10 additional trips, giving passengers more options to plan their journeys comfortably.

• The Dhanbad-Chandigarh special train, numbered 03311, runs on Tuesdays and Fridays. Earlier, this train was scheduled to run only up to December 12, 2025. With the revised schedule, it will now continue its service until January 13, 2026.

• Train number 03312, which operates between Chandigarh and Dhanbad, runs on Thursdays and Sundays. This train was earlier planned to operate until December 14, 2025. Indian Railways has now extended its service, and it will run up to January 15, 2026.

• Another special train, number 03309, runs between Dhanbad Junction and Delhi Junction on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Earlier, it was scheduled to run until December 13, 2025. After the extension, this train will now continue its operations until January 13, 2026.

• Similarly, train number 03310, which runs from Delhi Junction to Dhanbad Junction on Wednesdays and Sundays, has also been extended. While it was earlier scheduled to run until December 14, 2025, it will now operate until January 14, 2026.

Indian Railways stated that these extensions have been made to manage passenger rush and provide a more convenient and comfortable travel experience.
