Bengaluru's Namma Metro Pink Line, covering 21 km from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara, is expected to open by May 2026. This new corridor aims to make travel across Bengaluru faster and more comfortable for both residents and visitors. The Pink Line includes a 2.5 km elevated section from Kalena Agrahara

to Tavarekere (Swagath Cross Road) and a 13.76 km underground stretch, making it one of the most complex metro projects in the city. Earlier metro extensions like the Yellow Line to Electronics City and the Green Line faced delays of two to five years, authorities are focusing on completing this corridor on time.
Major Stations of Namma Metro Pink Line
There will be six main stations along the Pink Line Kalena Agrahara, Hulimavu, IIM-Bangalore, JP Nagar 4th Phase, Jayadeva, and Tavarekere. These stations are strategically placed to serve major residential, educational, and commercial areas. The line will also provide several key interchanges that connect it to other metro corridors, improving citywide accessibility. These include Jayadeva (Yellow Line), MG Road (Purple Line), Dairy Circle (Red Line), Nagawara (Blue Line), and JP Nagar 4th Phase (Orange Line). Once completed, passengers will be able to switch between metro lines easily, making travel across central, southern, and northern Bengaluru much more convenient.
Bengaluru Pink Line Metro to Enhance Commutation
The Pink Line is expected to reduce travel time greatly, decongest roads, and provide smoother connectivity between important city zones. It will also encourage more people to choose public transport over private vehicles, helping reduce traffic and pollution. Moreover, the Pink Line will mark a major milestone in Bengaluru's metro network, offering a reliable, fast, and eco-friendly way to travel across the city while improving the quality of daily commuting for thousands of people.
