New Delhi, June 26: Several parts of Delhi are set to experience scheduled power interruptions on Thursday, June 26, as electricity distribution companies carry out planned maintenance and infrastructure-related works. Consumers in areas served by TPDDL and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) have been advised to prepare for temporary outages, with restoration expected after maintenance is completed in the respective localities.
The planned shutdowns will affect parts of Moti Nagar, Kirti Nagar, Janakpuri, Uttam Nagar, Mundka, Mohan Garden, Nangloi, Baba Colony and several pockets in North, North-West, West and South Delhi. While some outages have fixed schedules, others may last between two and four hours, depending on the nature of the work being undertaken.
TPDDL Power Shutdown Schedule
In the Moti Nagar Division, power supply will remain suspended in parts of 70-B Rama Road, Kirti Nagar and DLF Kirti Nagar Industrial Area from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Another shutdown is scheduled between 8:30 am and 9:30 am in parts of 70-B Rama Road, Kirti Nagar and Moti Nagar, while selected pockets under the Moti Nagar subdivision will witness maintenance beginning from 8:00 am onwards.
Meanwhile, under the Shalimar Bagh Division, parts of Baba Colony will face a scheduled outage from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
TPDDL has also scheduled maintenance in selected pockets across North and North-West Delhi service zones, where electricity supply is expected to remain interrupted between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
BRPL Areas to Face Power Cuts
Consumers in several BRPL-served localities are also likely to experience temporary disruptions.
- Janakpuri Division: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in various blocks of Janakpuri, including Janakpuri District Centre.
- Mohan Garden Division: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Mohan Garden, Rajapuri Khurd and nearby blocks, including parts of Uttam Nagar.
- Mundka Division: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in Mundka and surrounding areas, while some sections, including Mundka Industrial Area and Mundka Extension, may experience outages based on local maintenance schedules.
- Nangloi Division: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in parts of Uttam Nagar and Nangloi.
In addition, several West and South Delhi localities, including Uttam Nagar, Janakpuri, Mundka and Mohan Garden, are expected to witness outages lasting around two to four hours, depending on the area and maintenance requirements.
Residents Advised to Plan Ahead
Electricity authorities have advised residents and commercial establishments to make necessary arrangements before the scheduled shutdowns. Those working from home, running businesses or relying on electrical equipment are encouraged to plan their activities in advance.
Power supply is expected to be restored immediately after maintenance work is completed. However, restoration timings may vary slightly depending on on-site conditions and technical requirements.
