Mahashivratri is one of the most important and powerful nights for spiritual seekers. It is a night filled with meditation, devotion, and music. Every year, Isha Foundation, led by Sadhguru, organizes a grand Mahashivratri event at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. This night-long festival includes meditation sessions by Sadhguru and performances by famous artists. People from around the world join this celebration, either by visiting the ashram or watching the event online. In 2025, Mahashivratri will be celebrated on February 26.
Live Event Details
The Mahashivratri event will be live-streamed from 6 PM IST on February 26 to 6 AM IST on February 27. People are encouraged to stay awake throughout the night and participate in the activities. If they are in different time zones, they can watch the recorded stream at 6 PM, 10:50 PM, or 3:40 AM according to their local time.
The event schedule includes various spiritual and cultural programs:
6:00 PM - Pancha Bhuta Kriya
This is a powerful process that helps purify the five elements within the body.
6:15 PM - Bhairavi Maha Yatra
A grand procession of the Linga Bhairavi Utsav Murti to Adiyogi, creating a divine atmosphere.
7:00 PM - Adiyogi Divya Darshanam
A beautiful video show that tells the story of the origin of Yoga.
7:15 PM - Music, Dance, and Cultural Performances
Celebrated artists will perform to keep the energy high and help people stay awake through the night.
10:50 PM - Sadhguru's Discourse and Midnight Meditation
Sadhguru will share deep insights, followed by a powerful meditation session at midnight.
1:25 AM - Music, Dance, and Cultural Performances
More performances will continue to energize the participants.
3:40 AM - Sadhguru's Brahma Muhurtam Discourse and Shambho Meditation
Brahma Muhurtam is the best time for spiritual practices. Sadhguru will guide a meditation using the chant "Shambho."
4:20 AM - More Music and Dance Performances
5:45 AM - Closing Ceremony
Sadhguru will conclude the event, leaving the participants with a sense of joy and devotion.

- Shubha Raghavendra - A famous singer from Mysuru known for her deep and earthy voice. She excels in Gamaka, Carnatic, and Folk Music.
- Sathyaprakash - A playback singer who has worked with A.R. Rahman and other legendary composers. He has sung in multiple languages and leads the Carnatic fusion band "Kriyaa."
