This year Surat has got all the attention with its 70 lakh ganesh pandal during the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi where devotees can witness Char Dham and 12 jyotirlings in 11D effect.
Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayaka Chaturthi, is a Hindu festival that is enthusiastically observed all over India. It commemorates the birth of the elephant-headed god Lord Ganesha, who is regarded as the remover of obstacles and the forerunner of luck. Installing Ganesha statues in pandals and homes is one way the occasion is honored.
This year, a particular pandal in Surat, Gujarat, is drawing attention with its distinctive and alluring display. The four Hindu pilgrimage sites of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, Dwarka in Gujarat, Jagannath in Odisha, and Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu are collectively referred to as the Char Dham. Millions of devotees travel to these holy places each year, believing them to be of great spiritual significance. These famous locations have been carefully replicated at the pandal in Surat, allowing visitors to make a virtual trip.
Similar to this, the 12 Jyotirlingas are considered to be the most sacred temples devoted to Lord Shiva. These lingas, which can be found all over India, are thought to have manifested by themselves. The Jyotirlingas have been painstakingly replicated in the pandal so that devotees may pay tribute and ask Lord Shiva's blessings.
