People from Every Corner of India and Prime Minister Modi Join Together to witness Chandrayaan-3's Historic Lunar Landing
Launched on July 14, 2023, as India's third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3 saw its lander and rover gracefully touch down near the lunar south pole on August 23, 2023. People from various parts of the country, who had prayed and supported its success, are now rejoicing. In the calm city of Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, a group of devotees organized a special prayer ceremony called Ganga aarti at the Triveni Ghat. Holding the tricolour flag in their hands, they chanted slogans like "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Jai Hind." With lit lamps and incense sticks, they sincerely prayed to the sacred river Ganga for the safe and successful landing of Chandrayaan-3. The event was arranged by the Ganga Sabha, a local organization known for performing daily rituals at the ghat.
Namaz in Lucknow:
In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a group of children from a madrasa gathered to recite namaz and offer prayers to Allah, seeking blessings for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3. They held posters and banners with messages like "We are proud of ISRO" and "Chandrayaan-3 Zindabad," expressing their strong support. This heartwarming event was organized by the Maulana Azad Memorial Society, a non-governmental organization dedicated to the education and welfare of children.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in South Africa attending the 15th BRICS Summit, virtually witnessed the historic landing of Chandrayaan-3. Connecting with the ISRO team through video conferencing, he shared the significant moment when Chandrayaan-3's lander and rover gently touched down on the moon's south pole at 6:04 pm IST on August 23, 2023. He extended his warmest congratulations to the ISRO scientists and engineers for this remarkable achievement, highlighting India's historic role as the first nation to successfully land a spacecraft on the lunar south pole.
The Prime Minister praised the spirit of innovation and exploration displayed by India's space program. He emphasized that Chandrayaan-3 is a testament to India's scientific excellence and its ambition to become a global leader in space exploration. He also expressed his gratitude towards the people of India and the Indian diaspora for their wholehearted support and enthusiasm for Chandrayaan-3.

It was accompanied by heartfelt messages of congratulations and best wishes for ISRO and its scientists.
2. Chennai's Artistic Tribute: In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, artists from the Cholamandal Artists' Village painted a vibrant mural depicting the Chandrayaan-3 mission on a wall near Marina Beach. This captivating artwork featured the lander, rover, orbiter, and the Indian flag on the moon's surface, accompanied by slogans like "Proud of ISRO" and "Chandrayaan-3 Zindabad."
3. Varanasi's Sweet Celebrations: In Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, celebrations took the form of sweets and fireworks. The joyous sounds of celebration filled the air, and private schools arranged live streaming for their students to witness this historic moment.
