The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has introduced new express bus services on five key routes, connecting the city with its outskirts. Starting June 21, these services aim to alleviate traffic congestion and provide quicker travel options for daily commuters. The buses will operate every 20 to 30 minutes, offering a total of 348 trips each day.

New Express Routes and Services
Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy announced that the limited-stop express services will run between Kempegowda Bus Stand (Majestic) and Banashankari TTMC to Attibele, Devanahalli, Harohalli, and Nelamangala. The routes include Ex-KBS-3A from Kempegowda Bus Stand to Attibele with 10 trips, Ex-600F from Banashankari TTMC to Attibele with 10 trips, Ex-298M from Kempegowda Bus Stand to Devanahalli with 10 trips, Ex-213V from Banashankari TTMC to Harohalli with 8 trips, and Ex-258C from Kempegowda Bus Stand to Nelamangala with 10 trips.
Monthly Pass and Fare Details
To promote frequent travel, BMTC has launched an 'Express Ordinary Services Monthly Pass' priced at ₹1,500. This pass excludes toll charges and is available digitally via the Tummoc app. Importantly, the fare for these express services remains consistent with regular BMTC buses.
Spiritual Tourism Package
In addition to the express routes, BMTC has unveiled a spiritual tourism package named 'Ghati Isha Foundation’. This service operates on weekends and public holidays. The air-conditioned bus tour starts at 9 a.m. from Kempegowda Bus Station and covers Nelamangala Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Ghati Subrahmanya Temple, Jnana Teertha Linga, and Isha Foundation. Lunch is included in this day-long tour, which concludes by 7 p.m., priced at ₹600 per person.
Two additional premium spiritual tours are also planned: Isha Foundation-1A departing from Banashankari TTMC and 1B from Central Silk Board. These initiatives reflect BMTC's commitment to enhancing commuter convenience while promoting cultural tourism in the region.
