priority corridor were finally restored on Thursday afternoon, starting from Bhootnath Metro Station.

Patna Metro Began Its Operations

The Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) confirmed the resumption of services through a post on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. In its message, PMRCL stated that metro operations restarted from 3.30 pm onwards from Bhootnath station. The corporation also thanked its technical team for their hard work in fixing the issue and resuming services for commuters.

Suspension of Patna Metro Services

The metro services had remained suspended for nearly 20 hours. Operations were first stopped on Wednesday morning at around 8 am after a technical snag was detected on the Blue Line. As engineers worked to identify and fix the fault, services could not be restored immediately.

Earlier on Thursday, PMRCL had informed the public that metro services would remain suspended throughout Christmas Day. A public notice was issued advising commuters to make alternative travel arrangements, as repair work was still underway and safety checks were ongoing.

Officials from Patna Metro later said that the technical issue was resolved on Thursday after detailed inspections and continuous monitoring. The engineering team had been working since Wednesday to trace and fix the problem. After the fault was rectified, trial runs and safety checks were carried out to ensure smooth operations.

Resumption of Services

Once services resumed, metro trains operated normally until 8 pm without any further issues, officials said. PMRCL assured passengers that safety remains its top priority and that all necessary steps were taken before restarting operations. The corporation also appealed to commuters for patience and cooperation during such unexpected disruptions.
