Residents in several parts of Bhopal are likely to experience temporary electricity disruptions on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, as maintenance work by the power department is scheduled across multiple locations in the city. The shutdown is expected to affect nearly 25 areas, with outages ranging between four and five hours at different time slots.
Authorities have advised residents to complete important household work, charge electronic devices and make necessary arrangements in advance to avoid inconvenience during the scheduled maintenance period.
Why Is There A Power Cut In Bhopal?
According to the scheduled maintenance plan, electricity supply will remain suspended in selected localities while repair and maintenance work is carried out on the power infrastructure network. Supply is expected to be restored after the work is completed.

Residents in affected areas are advised to complete water storage, mobile charging and other essential household activities before the scheduled outage begins. People working from home or depending on uninterrupted power for business and daily operations may also plan accordingly.
