Bengaluru residents should be prepared for power cuts on February 28 as BESCOM (Bangalore Electricity Supply Company) carries out emergency maintenance work. This maintenance is important to improve the city's power supply and will take place from 10 AM to 1 PM. The work is being led by KPTCL (Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited) at the 66/11 kV Padmanabhanagar Substation. BESCOM has requested people living in the affected areas to make the necessary arrangements before the scheduled power outage.

Areas Affected by the Power Cut
Many localities will experience power disruptions during this period. The affected areas include Banagirinathar, Jayanagar 7th Block, and Banashankari 2nd Phase. Areas around the BDA Complex and Saroja Complex will also face power cuts. Other regions such as Rajivnagar, Padmanabhanagar, Yarabnagar, Tata Silk Farm, and Shastrinagar will be impacted. Additionally, places near the S9 Subdivision, the 9th Main Bata Showroom, and surrounding areas will also experience power outages.
Traffic Restrictions at Kadubeesanahalli Junction
In a separate development, Bengaluru traffic police have introduced a one-week traffic restriction at Kadubeesanahalli Junction. This step is being taken to reduce traffic congestion at this busy junction, which often causes major delays. The restrictions will affect routes leading to Kariyammana Agrahara. If the trial is successful, the changes may become permanent.
To avoid delays, motorists are advised to use an alternative route via Devarabeesanahalli Junction and continue through Sakra Hospital Main Road. These diversions will help manage traffic flow and reduce congestion in the affected areas.
Infrastructure Upgrades for a Better Bengaluru
The scheduled power cut and traffic restrictions are part of ongoing efforts to improve Bengaluru's infrastructure. While these developments may cause temporary inconvenience, they aim to provide long-term benefits such as better electricity supply and smoother traffic movement.
Residents are advised to stay updated with any further announcements from BESCOM and Bengaluru traffic police to minimize disruptions to their daily routine.
