Bengaluru to Build 18 km Underground Road: Travel Time to Drop to 25 Minutes Across City

In Bengaluru, an exciting new project is taking shape, aiming to make travel and life easier for everyone in the city. This grand initiative, set to finish by 2025, will bring major improvements to transportation and connectivity. With a budget of ₹16,500 crores and an additional ₹850 crores for special tasks, the project is one of the city's biggest transformations.

The plan focuses on reducing travel time and making movement across Bengaluru more efficient. It includes building new roads, bridges, and gates while also adding luxurious accommodations like flying palaces and modern apartments. These developments aim to meet the needs of both residents and visitors.

A highlight of the project is the introduction of Vande Bharat trains. These modern trains have 1,246 seats and promise faster travel between Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru. This will be a great benefit for commuters, offering them a quicker and smoother journey. Bengaluru's connectivity will also improve with the construction of new interchanges at key spots like Meghri Circle and Race Course Road. These interchanges will help people travel more easily around the city.

One of the most exciting parts of the plan is the reduction in travel time to the airport. Currently, the trip from the city center can take 60 to 90 minutes, but this project aims to make it much shorter. This will be a huge relief for daily commuters and holiday travelers, especially during busy periods like January 17, 2025, when travel often becomes challenging.

D.K., one of the project's key leaders, shared that the goal is to solve current transportation problems while creating new opportunities for growth. The project is not just about better infrastructure-it's about building a brighter future for Bengaluru. It aims to attract global companies, improve business opportunities, and enhance the lives of city residents.

This development is also expected to boost the local economy by increasing tourism and business activities. With better transport and new accommodations, Bengaluru will become a more attractive destination for travelers from India and abroad.

Bengaluru's ambitious project is set to transform the city by 2025. With modern trains, improved roads, and luxury accommodations, it will make travel easier, grow the economy, and strengthen the city's position as a dynamic hub. The excitement for a more connected and efficient Bengaluru is growing as the city looks forward to this incredible change.
