Bengaluru is expected to receive rain and thunderstorms starting May 13, according to the latest weather forecast. Lightning activity is also likely over the next few days, and weather officials have issued a warning for residents to stay careful during stormy conditions. On May 13, the city is likely to
record a maximum temperature of around 35 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of about 23 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels may remain between 50 and 70 per cent during the day.
Bengaluru Rain Alert
The weather department has predicted thunderstorms with rain from May 13 to May 16. These showers are expected to bring some relief from the hot daytime temperatures that the city has been experiencing recently. Similar weather conditions are expected on May 14 and May 15, with rain and thunderstorms likely in many parts of Bengaluru. Day temperatures are expected to stay around 35 degrees Celsius, while night temperatures may remain close to 23 degrees Celsius. On May 16, thunderstorms and rain may continue, and the minimum temperature could slightly fall to around 22 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru from May 13 to May 15 due to the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning.
Weather Change from Bengaluru
From May 17 onward, the weather is expected to improve slightly. The forecast says the city may see cloudy skies with light rain on May 17 and May 18. No weather alert has been announced for these days. In the last 24 hours, Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius, which was slightly above normal. The minimum temperature was 23.4 degrees Celsius, also above normal levels.
People are advised to stay indoors during lightning and avoid open areas during thunderstorms.
