Parking Facilities in Bengaluru Metro Stations

BMRCL has provided extra parking facilities at 44 Metro stations across the city. On match days, people with match tickets can park their vehicles at a fixed and affordable rate. Two-wheeler parking will cost Rs 30, while car parking will cost Rs 60. This fee will be valid until the end of Metro services for that day. This step aims to reduce traffic congestion near the stadium and encourage fans to use the Metro.

The additional parking facilities are available at many important Metro stations, including Whitefield, Kadugodi Tree Park, Pattandur Agrahara, Kundalahalli, Hoodi, Baiyappanahalli Metro Station, Majestic Metro Station, City Railway Station Metro Station, Mysore Road, Kengeri Bus Terminal, Nagasandra, Chickpete, Lalbagh, Jayanagar, Banashankari, Yelachenahalli, R. Bengaluru Metro's Extended Services

Moreover, Metro services will run for longer hours on match days. Instead of closing around 11 pm, some trains will operate until 2 am so that fans can return home safely after the match. The last trains will leave from different stations at various times, such as 12:30 am from Whitefield (Kadugodi), 12:45 am from Challaghatta, Silk Institute, and Madavara, 1 am from Bommasandra, and 2 am from RV Road. From Majestic Station, the last train in all directions will depart at 1:30 am.

These steps are expected to make travel smoother and more convenient for cricket fans during the IPL matches.
