Bengaluru Issues Traffic Advisory Ahead Of Eid Celebrations

Anticipating over 25,000 attendees for Ramzan in Bengaluru, traffic police announce diversions on Mysuru Road and Chamarajpet areas to ensure smooth festivities.

In anticipation of the Ramzan festival celebrations, which are expected to draw more than 25,000 attendees in the vicinity of Mysuru Road and Chamarajpet areas, the Bengaluru traffic police have issued a crucial advisory. This announcement comes as part of the efforts to manage the large crowds and ensure a smooth traffic flow during the festivities. The advisory focuses on traffic diversions and restrictions to accommodate the influx of people gathering, especially in the Chamarajpete area for Eid celebrations.

Traffic Diversions and Restrictions

The Bengaluru traffic police department outlined specific traffic restrictions, effective on April 11, 2024, from 7 am to 12 pm. During this period, all vehicular movement will be temporarily restricted on both sides of the road stretching from the city market flyover (BGS Flyover) to the toll gate junction. This measure aims to facilitate the safe and orderly movement of the public attending the Eid celebrations.

Alternate Routes for Commuters

To mitigate the impact of these restrictions, the police department has also provided alternate routes for commuters. Vehicles heading towards Mysore road from Town Hall are advised to go below the flyover, take a right turn near Sirsi circle, then proceed via Binnymill Junction, taking a left at Hunasemara Junction, a left at MC circle, a right at Hosahalli signal, and finally reaching Mysore road near Kimko Junction via west of Chord Road. Similarly, vehicles coming from the Kengeri side towards the market are instructed to take a left turn near Kimko junction, proceed via the west of Chord Road to MC circle, take a right towards Magadi road, a right near Hunasemara junction, Binnymill junction, and then a left near Sirsi circle to their destination.

The Bengaluru traffic police have requested the public's cooperation with these temporary arrangements to ensure a smooth and safe Ramzan festival celebration. By following the advised alternate routes, commuters can help minimize congestion and contribute to the successful management of traffic during this significant occasion.
