Ayodhya's Transformation: States Eager to Secure Land as Greenfield Project Gains Momentum

Unlocking Ayodhya's Potential:

In a significant development, various states have reached out to the Uttar Pradesh government, expressing their interest in securing land in Ayodhya. This comes on the heels of the UP government initiating the online registration process for the allotment of land to mutts and ashrams in the holy city, starting from November 10. The move is seen as a part of the broader Ayodhya Greenfield township project, aimed at transforming the region.

Ayodhyas Transformation

Gujarat has already been allotted 6,000 square meters of land for its state guest house in the upcoming Ayodhya Greenfield township. As part of this initiative, states like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and Arunachal Pradesh have also approached the UP government for land, intending to establish their state guest houses in this sacred city.

Neeraj Shukla, Additional Housing Commissioner, Housing Board, stated, "Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and Arunachal Pradesh have approached the state government for allotment of land in Ayodhya." This surge in interest from various states highlights the growing significance of Ayodhya as a cultural and spiritual hub.

The online registration process for plots designated for mutts and ashrams is set to conclude on November 30. In contrast, the registration for commercial plots will commence on November 10 and conclude on November 24, with the auction scheduled for November 25, as informed by Housing Commissioner Ranveer Prasad.

Ayodhya Township: Key Developments

1. Land Allotment Details: In the first phase of the project, 28 plots have been earmarked for mutts and ashrams, with sizes ranging from 1,966 sq m to 10,417 sq m. Additionally, 12 commercial plots, each measuring between 1,543 sq m to 9,252 sq m, will also be allotted.

2. Pricing Proposal: The proposal for fixing the prices of these plots will be presented at the Housing Board meeting scheduled for November 9, offering transparency and fairness in the allocation process.

3. Site Visits: The Housing Board has extended invitations to potential applicants to visit the site starting from October 30 onwards. This initiative aims to provide a firsthand look at the proposed areas, helping applicants make informed decisions.

4. E-Auction for Commercial Plots: The commercial plots will be allocated through an e-auction process, introducing a modern and efficient mechanism for the allocation of prime spaces in the township.

5. Geographical Scope: The Ayodhya Township is poised to come up on a vast 1407-acre expanse on both sides of the Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway, reflecting the ambitious vision of the Yogi Adityanath-led government.

Ayodhyas Transformation

This move aligns with the broader vision of fostering economic growth and development in Ayodhya, not only as a religious and cultural center but also as a hub for commerce and infrastructure. As different states express their interest in establishing guest houses, Ayodhya is on the path to becoming a melting pot of diverse cultural influences, further enriching its historical tapestry.

For those keen on exploring Ayodhya's evolving landscape, the Housing Board's invitation for site visits provides an excellent opportunity to witness firsthand the transformative journey this sacred city is embarking upon.
