GUWAHATI: The much-anticipated Brahmaputra Riverfront viewpoint in Guwahati's Panbazaar is all set to welcome visitors with its grand inauguration scheduled for January 20. This landmark event will be graced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, marking a significant milestone in the city's development. The announcement came from Assam's Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Ashok Singhal, who recently inspected the site at the Old Bungalow premises of the Guwahati Commissioner of Police.

Spanning a stretch of 1,200 meters from the old DC Bungalow to Kacharighat, the project promises to transform the face of the riverfront. It boasts a variety of amenities including parks, seating areas, refreshment points, and spaces dedicated to cultural programmes, all designed to enhance the urban appeal and provide leisure facilities to the public.
