Experience Ultimate Comfort: Vande Bharat Introduces Sleeper Coaches for Relaxing Overnight Journeys and 5 New Routes, Including Goa, for Vande Bharat from June 27.

Due to the success of Vande Bharat and the growing demand from passengers, the Central Government has decided to introduce a sleeper train version of Vande Bharat. This new development will transform Vande Bharat into a train that competes with the renowned Rajdhani Express. By next year, this service will be available to passengers who choose Vande Bharat for long-distance journeys.
According to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the sleeper variant of Vande Bharat is scheduled to be operational by 2024. This upgraded train will feature sleeper coaches, taking the country's railway infrastructure to the next level.
Previously, Vande Bharat only offered chair car facilities for daytime travel. However, with the introduction of the sleeper variant, passengers will now have the option to travel longer distances at night as well. Currently, the Integral Coach Factory is developing 22 sleeper variant Vande Bharat trains to meet the increasing demand.
For journeys covering less than 100 kilometers, the metro variant of Vande Bharat will be available. The chair car variant operates for distances ranging from 100 kilometers to 550 kilometers. The new sleeper variant of Vande Bharat will cater to travel distances exceeding 550 kilometers, providing a comfortable and convenient option for extended trips.
The earlier version of Vande Bharat, which offered only chair car seating, limited travel options to daytime journeys. However, with the introduction of the sleeper variant, passengers can now enjoy overnight travel as well. This development enhances the flexibility and convenience of Vande Bharat for passengers.
The Integral Coach Factory, a renowned company based in Chennai, played a crucial role in the creation of the chair car variant of Vande Bharat. It is rumored that the same company has been entrusted with the task of developing the sleeper variant of Vande Bharat as well. If sources are accurate, this work is expected to be completed by the end of this year, further expanding the offerings of Vande Bharat.

In addition to these developments, Prime Minister Modi has planned to launch five new Vande Bharat trains on 27th June. These trains will operate on five new routes, expanding the reach and accessibility of Vande Bharat services to a larger population.
The newly designated routes for these trains include Mumbai-Goa, Bangalore-Hubli, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore, and Bhopal-Jabalpur. The first trial run of the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat train was recently concluded on June 12. Also, An undertrial Vande Bharat Express train arrived at Jabalpur Station on June 20. Further trial runs will be carried out between Barkakana and Ranchi.
This initiative aims to provide improved connectivity and enhanced travel experiences for passengers across India.
