Air India Express is expanding its flight network in the National Capital Region (NCR) to make travel easier for people in NCR and North India. Starting from August 1, the airline will operate 28 weekly direct flights from Hindon Airport to Bengaluru, Goa, and Kolkata. The fares for these flights start at Rs. 5134.
Bookings for these inaugural fares are now available on the Air India Express website, mobile app, and other major booking platforms. In addition to running over 280 flights a week from Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi, Air India Express (AIX) will now also fly from Hindon Airport. This will improve connectivity to cities in Western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Haryana.
Hindon Airport is strategically located in the NCR, making it easy to reach for travelers from many areas, including Central and Eastern Delhi, Noida, Alipur, Agra, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Dadri, Dasna, Dehradun, Faridnagar, Hapur, Haridwar, Khekra, Loni, Meerut, Modinagar, Muradnagar, Nangloi Jat, Pilkhuwa, Panipat, Rishikesh, Saharanpur, and Sonipat.
Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, explained the expansion. He said, "Our network expansion focuses on improving connectivity across the growing domestic and short-haul international market, especially new and underserved routes. Major metropolitan areas in India can support secondary airports, spreading the benefits of air connectivity and further stimulating growth. We believe the launch of our flights from Hindon is a pioneering effort in this direction. It will benefit travelers from an extended area, even beyond Delhi NCR, including Western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal, and Haryana. The new services will complement our operations from the primary airport serving Delhi NCR, providing convenient options."
