PM Modi Announces Nine New Vande Bharat Trains for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled plans for the introduction of nine new Vande Bharat trains, semi-high-speed trains capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 kmph, in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. These trains, he noted, would significantly enhance connectivity, promote tourism, and spur economic growth in the two states.

New Vande Bharat For Rajasthan and MP

A Grand Announcement in Jaipur

The announcement came during a public rally in Jaipur, where PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for numerous development projects exceeding Rs 9,000 crore. The new Vande Bharat trains are set to connect Jaipur with various cities in Rajasthan, including Delhi, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Kota. Additionally, they will link Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

Next-Level Travel Experience

PM Modi emphasized the numerous advantages passengers would enjoy aboard the Vande Bharat trains. These modern marvels are equipped with state-of-the-art features, including automatic doors, bio-vacuum toilets, CCTV cameras, GPS-based passenger information systems, Wi-Fi, and LED lighting. He underscored that these trains symbolize self-reliance and innovation, as they are conceived and produced in India.

Inaugurating Rajasthan's Maiden Vande Bharat Train

During his address, PM Modi flagged off Rajasthan's inaugural Vande Bharat train, set to operate on the Ajmer-Delhi Cantonment route. He celebrated this train for completing the journey an hour faster than the current fastest train on the route. He also hinted at another Vande Bharat train shortly commencing service between Jaipur and Delhi.

A Boost for Madhya Pradesh

PM Modi revealed that Madhya Pradesh would welcome four new Vande Bharat trains. Two of these were already flagged off on Tuesday, departing from Bhopal's Rani Kamalapati Railway Station. These trains will ply the routes between Bhopal and Indore, as well as Bhopal and Jabalpur. Notably, these trains will reduce travel times significantly - from three hours to two hours between Bhopal and Indore and from six hours to four hours between Bhopal and Jabalpur.

Enhanced Connectivity and Educational Hub Development

Two additional Vande Bharat trains will serve Madhya Pradesh by connecting Indore and Kota, along with Jabalpur and Kota. These trains are expected to bolster connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan while contributing to Kota's development as an educational hub.

A Vision of World-Class Railways

PM Modi positioned the launch of these new Vande Bharat trains as part of his government's vision to transform Indian Railways into a world-class network. He highlighted his administration's substantial investment of over Rs 13 lakh crore in the railways over the past seven years - more than double the amount invested by previous governments over 70 years.

Enhancing Railway Infrastructure and Services

The Prime Minister emphasized his government's commitment to improving railway infrastructure and services in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Initiatives include track electrification, line doubling, the construction of new stations, bridges, and tunnels, expanding metro rail projects, introducing Kisan Rail for farmers, and offering free Wi-Fi at stations.

A Plea to Benefit from the Vande Bharat Trains

PM Modi appealed to the people of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to take full advantage of the new Vande Bharat trains and support the government's endeavors to establish India as a global leader in transportation.
