Beginning on November 28, the seventh edition of "Jal Mahotsav," at Hanuwantiya, one of the main attractions put on by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and billed as the biggest water carnival in India for thrill-seekers and water sports lovers. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board hosts Jal Mahotsav each year in an effort to promote Hanuwantiya Island as a prime travel destination.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister, will begin the two-month celebration at Hanuwantiya Island in the Khandwa district in the presence of Usha Thakur, the minister of tourism and culture.
Visitors can stay in the Tent City on the Indira Sagar Dam's backwaters thanks to the Tourism Board's collaboration with Sunset Desert Camp. The tent city will include an air-conditioned conference room for business meetings in addition to 104 luxurious Swiss tents. Numerous events will be held, including a health retreat by the renowned Kareli group of Kerala, a three-day national and international angling sports competition, a music festival, and a kite festival.
About 150 kilometers separate Hanuwantiya from Indore city. It was developed especially to boost tourism in the region. The reservoir that the Indira Sagar Dam creates is ideal for thrilling water sports and picturesque "lake-side" vacations. The tourism board is continually looking for fresh technologies to increase travelers' enthusiasm and enjoyment. The "flying inflatable boat" at Hanuwantiya Island, which is situated in the backwaters of Indira Sagar dam, is the most recent activity in this sequence. This is the first time in the nation that a tourist activity of this nature is provided.
