Shedup Choepelling Temple, Mussoorie

Shedup Choepelling Temple, a noted Tibetan temple in Mussoorie, is popularly known as the Tibetan Buddhist Temple. The temple, which is surrounded by beautiful snowy mountains lies on the Happy Valley Road.

It is said that after escaping from Tibet, Dalai Lama took shelter in Mussoorie and Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, granted this land to him as Dharamshala. This temple is beautifully decorated with several beautiful clay lamps and prayer flags and contains various books related to Tibetan literature.
