Mandu/ 2023 Weather

The best season to travel to any location is dependent on several factors often out of the traveler’s control. Mandu enjoys favorable weather between July and March. Ganesh Chatruthi usually between September and October draws a lot of tourists as the festival is celebrated with a lot of pomp and circumstance.

Summer

The elevated location of Mandu, at two thousand feet above sea level makes Mandu a relatively cooler area as compared to the plains that experience crippling heat waves during summer. The summer season extends from March to June, and temperatures range between 35 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Monsoon

Mandu was once the monsoon retreat for the Mughal Emperors of Delhi. The entire aura of a city from an era long gone takes on new meaning during the monsoons. The pleasant temperatures coupled with light rainfall make the monsoons the very best time to visit as travelers can avoid harsh sunshine.

Winter

Winter can be the best time to travel for those who favor cooler temperatures over the hot summer days. The temperatures vary between 22 and a cool 7 degrees Celsius during winter. The holiday season during winter may be the kicker for most families with young children enrolled in school.
