Hotel Season House is a family-run small hotel that is overlooks the entire Lachung Valley from the idyllic location of the Shingriteng village. Lachung valley consists of four villages - Beechu, Shingring, Phakha and Sharchok and Shingriteng is a small hill-top lodged over the Shingring village. Even though the Lachung valley has become an increasingly popular tourist destination, luckily its pristine beauty is left mostly untouched by the locals and the tourists alike.
Hotel Season House exemplifies the beauty of the valley and what is yet untouched about it. The warm hearth that lovingly welcomes all guests as family members has touched the heart of many visitors and continues to do so with every passing day. In the ancestral land that surrounds the lodge, the family grows many vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, chives, potato, wheat and barley. Apple trees also dot the grounds beautifying the area.
Facilities
All the 8 rooms in the hotel are spacious and airy. All of them come with attached bathroom. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided in the hotel itself. The hotel serves Chinese, Indian cuisine along with traditional Sikkimese food. During the winter months, the hotel staff serves a delectable drink locally called the ‘Chhang’. It is a local millet brew that helps keep the body warm. But be careful, it can give you the high!
