Winter is the best season to visit Khandwa. The temperature remains cool and pleasant ,and all travel plans can be implemented without any hindrance form the weather front. Moreover, during this period, the place gears up to celebrate all the festivals starting with Durga Puja to Shivaratri. As this is the peak tourist season, it is best to make reservations in advance.
The summer season in Khandwa is very hot and dry. The period between March and May typically will be the scheduled summer. Mercury level can rise as high as 42° Celsius. This is not the time to visit Khandwa as you might suffer from dehydration and sun strokes while travelling.
With the onset of monsoon season in June, there is a relief from the scorching sun in Khandwa. The temperature dips down to a pleasant 23° Celsius. The place experiences heavy rain during this season. The monsoon is not the right time to visit this place as rains may hinder your travel plans.
Winter sets in October and remains till February. During the months of January and February, the winter is at its peak. The minimum average temperature during the winter season is 10° Celsius. Khandwa becomes a beautiful place from the month of October to February. Tourists are advised to carry light woollen clothes.
