Please note additional fees apply for extra persons above 12 years. Also, for extra bed in hotel you will have to pay extra depending upon the requirements.
By Air or Train
It's important to note that the package price excludes airfare and train tickets, entrance fees to attractions, guide charges, and costs associated with activities. Furthermore, any unforeseen expenses due to natural calamities or itinerary changes are not covered. To maintain the quality of the tour, all transfers and sightseeing excursions are carefully planned as per the itinerary, and any modifications post-booking will incur an amendment fee of Rs. 5000.
Gangtok Kalimpong Darjeeling Itinerary
Day 1: Reach Gangtok by Flight, Train or Bus. Spend your very first day in the city market and try to feel the pulse of the hill station during the evening.
Day 2: Have a healthy breakfast at the hotel and get ready for Tsmogo Lake. Lake is 1 km long, oval in shape, and 50 ft deep. Here you can find snowfall during winters and Yak Riding through out the year. Visit legendary Baba Mandir & NathuLa Pass (14,400 ft) Indo-China Border.
Please nore- A trip to Nathula Pass depends upon permit availability. You will have to pay the additional cost of Rs. 3,000/- per vehicle including permit fee. The permit is issued on the same day of travel. After a long hectic day get some light food and take a good sleep at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 3: In the morning, take your luggage with you and leave the hotel. Today is the day for Kalimpong which is at 4010 ft from the sea level. On the way, you can do river rafting at Teesta River (Rs. 4000 per boat 6 seater payable on the spot). Visit Dello hills, Flower Nurseries, Mangal Dham Temple, 10th Mile Kalimpong Monastery. Take a nigh halt at the hotel in Kalimpong.
Day 4: Start your journey to Darjeeling (6700 ft) in the morning itself. It is a 50 km run which takes around 2 to 3 hours to reach Darjeeling. Visit Triveni viewpoint at Teesta and Rangit river confluence. Evening shoppoing at Darjeeling will refresh your mood.
Day 5: This will be another hectic day for you because you are going for sight seeing in a beautiful hill station. Wake up before sun and reach Tiger Hill. You will see the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga. The height pf this peak is 28,208 ft and it is worlds 3rd highest peak.
After sunrise view just go to any nearby restaurant and have a healthy breakfast. Next is Ghoom Monastery and Batasay Loop. Or, you can cover both of these after breakfast also. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre, Tea Garden and Japanese Temple are in the list of major attractions.
Day 6: Don't forget to book the tickey of Darjeeling toy train from the IRCTC website. Trains timings can change, so plan your final day according to your train booking. Enjoy the unforgettable ride on the historic train. Now it's up to you, whether you want to go back on the same day or the day after.
