The new Vande Bharat Metro train recently completed a successful trial run in Kota, Rajasthan, achieving an impressive top speed of 145 km/h. This trial marks an important milestone as India moves closer to improving its metro services for urban commuters. The trial was conducted by the Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO) in collaboration with the West Central Railway's Kota division.

The trial run covered a distance of approximately 50 kilometers, during which the train reached its maximum speed of 145 km/h. The test route involved two round trips, one in the 'up' direction from Kota to Mahidpur Road and another in the 'down' direction from Mahidpur Road to Shamgarh. Throughout the trial, various technical aspects of the train were evaluated, including its speed, braking system, and overall performance.
To simulate real-world conditions, each coach was loaded with weights equal to the weight of actual passengers, totaling 24.7 tonnes. This realistic load simulation helped to ensure that the train performs optimally under everyday commuting conditions.
